Guide to Unlocking the horse: Once you have done the time trick and selected 
your characters, you must (with yoursecond character) run over and jump down 
the cliff to get the saddle, you must then run round to yuan shao's main camp, 
where you must quickly, kill him. after the level has been completed, you will 
get a horse called ginger striker, save it, and repeat the whole process

so reset the time to 00:01 and then do the exact same as last time, the horse 
your looking for is called Ultimate Dream, so save that in what ever slot you 
want, and once it levels up to level 5, it will look exactly like Red
Hare.

Story Updates

  • The storyline surpasses 234's Wuzhang -one of the oft-complained points-, and now properly ends in 280: Jin's unification of China and end of the ROTK period
  • The 晋 Jin Kingdom faction is newly added
  • Story Mode is apparently kingdom-based, and will focus on the 4 kingdoms of Wei, Wu, Shu and Jin
  • The Other force does not have a story mode, but players will be able to use the Other characters in Chronicle Mode
  • You will be playing as different characters as you choose other stages, thus seeing the overall kingdom stories from different character perspectives. The character for that stage will be fixed

Gameplay Changes
Secondary Weapons, Variable Attack, Weapon Expertise, and EX Attack

  • The moveset system is back to the good old Charge-based system (DW5 and before)
  • Characters now equip two weapons at once. Both of them can be changed
  • There will be about 360 different varieties of weapons
  • Some weapons will have gender limitations (eg. high probability that Qiao's folding fans will be exclusive to females)
  • Some weapons will have aerial combo
  • TheVariable Attack system (aka. Real Time Weapon Change), players can switch between two weapons anytime. The weapons can even be switched during a combo with a weapon without cutting the combo itself. To switch weapons, press R1
  • Some characters will have special expertise in certain weapon types. When such weapons are equipped, they will be able to unleash EX attacks
    (Speculation: For new characters, probably it's the 'main weapons' listed above, while for returning characters it's their 'default old weapons')
Musou attack upgrades
  • Musou bar is now stackable to 2 bars, allowing you to launch a Musou attack twice consecutively
  • Each character will have 2 different kinds of Musou attacks
  • All characters' first Musou attacks are normally executed with O button on ground
  • For the secondary Musou attack, some characters will have either of the following:
    Alternate Ground Musou, by pressing R1+O on ground; or Jump/Aerial Musou, by pressing O while mid-air
  • When using Musou attack, the character will be using their default weapon regardless of what weapons are equipped
Other Known Information
  • The game supports stereoscopic 3D mode, but it is optional and can be turned off
  • Both consoles (PS3 & 360) will support the stereoscopic 3D
  • Rumor: will have support for the Playstation Move (Sony's motion controller). This is also optional, but not yet known how it will be implemented
  • Some characters will have different facial features depending on the storyline progress, like two-eyed Xiahou Dun or non-masked Sima Shi
  • Character portraits in battle messages have emotion changes just like other recent Warriors games (except SW3)
  • Morale bar is gone, but the morale system itself still exists and will be reflected from officer messages and such
  • DLC (Downloadable Content) is confirmed to be added. Details will be revealed at a later time
  • There are no current plans for a PSP release

GSC gives us a look at the history of one of the world's worst nuclear disasters.

December 7, 2006

 

25th of April 1986 an experiment took place in the 4th block of the Chernobyl power plant. A team of engineers and scientists wished to verify that the turbines could produce enough power in the case of a total failure of electricity, thus ensuring that the emergency cooling would function correctly. To allow the experiment to take place under realistic conditions, the emergency program "Average Protection" was turned off. In so doing, all the important security functions such as the emergency cooling and the emergency retraction of the brake rods, were taken offline. However, the launch of the experiment was postponed, and the unprepared night shift undertook the experiment, failing to understand that the test environment that took place earlier in the day had left the reactor unprotected.

 

Through a simple operating mistake made by the inexperienced reactor engineer Leonid Toptunov, the performance of the reactor was massively reduced just a few moments before the beginning of the experiment. To return performance to normal, the operators removed the brake rods (which are used to control the atomic chain reaction) and the total number of engaged rods fell below the minimum safety limit of 28 rods. As a consequence, it became increasingly difficult to control the reactor.

Nevertheless, the deputy chief engineer of the power plant, Anatolij Djatlov, ordered the experiment to commence. Too many cooling pumps were closed and the reactor, which was already working with drastically-reduced performance, was not able to evaporate the cooling water. The water temperature started to rise and almost immediately the first hydraulic system failures could be heard. Akimov, the engineer in charge, and Toptunov wanted to stop the experiment, but Djatlov urged them on. It was 1.22:30 a.m.

When the operators switched off the electricity and the turbines stopped supplying power to the water-pumps, even less cooling water was pumped through the reactor core. The water became ever-hotter and quickly reached boiling point. Since a reactor can only be cooled adequately with enough evaporated water, its performance output increased. It was 1.23:04 a.m. At this point, "Average Protection" should have kicked in and would have averted the catastrophe, but it had never been reactivated following the earlier tests.

When Akimov noticed the mercurial performance boost of the reactor, he activated Average Protection manually at 1.23:40 a.m. All brake rods were retracted at once (over 200). But exactly at this point the RBMK-reactor hit its most serious construction failure: the retraction speed of the brake rods was extremely slow, much slower than the one of the West European countries. At the head of the brake rods were graphite spikes designed to accelerate the chain reaction. This was a key error in the construction and would prove the most fatal. The retraction of the brake rods was supposed to stop the chain reaction. The security system of every nuclear power plant is based on this concept. However, because the graphite-spikes were inserted first the performance was exponentially increased at his moment - the reactor hence was out of control.

The heat caused the channels of the brake rods to become irretrievably warped and the brake rods became lodged in the reactor core. The graphite-spikes were still inside the reactor; catastrophe was inevitable. In the active zone a chemical reaction took place between Zirconium and steam. Hydrogen and Oxygen were created to create the highly volatile oxyhydrogen. At 1.23:50 a.m. the entire reactor exploded and everything that surrounded it was obliterated. Most of the radioactive material was ejected outside. Everything in the immediate vicinity caught fire, including civilian houses that were in the neighborhood.

In the following weeks over 30 men died because of the high radiation - including firefighters, the two operators Akimov and Toptunov, as well as other staff of the nuclear power plant.

So called "Liquidators" (soldiers, students and volunteers) went to Chernobyl to decontaminate the power plant, to eliminate possible sources of danger that still existed and to alter the sarcophagus that was created to surround the destroyed 4th block. The number of people who helped is estimated between 600,000 and 1,200,000.

Most of the victims died because of late-stage radiation ailments such as cancer, heart-circulation problems and depression (suicide). Some people estimate the total number of victims ranges between 10,000 to 250,000. The actual number can never be accurately calculated, because even today people in Europe, especially those in Russia and Ukraine die from radiation-related illnesses, especially cancer. There is also a marked increase in the infant mortality rate and the general health of the children that grow up on the irradiated land are terrifying. These consequences will not last for just this generation...

According to recently-publicised conclusions made by a sixth investigatory group of "competent bodies" formed right after the accident to find the reasons causing the accident, "... The main reason of the accident was the low culture of workers of the atomic power station. The question is not in the qualification, but in the culture of working, internal discipline and feeling of the responsibility." (document #29 from May, 7th 1986). "The explosion has happened as a result of some rough infringements of work regulations, technology and disregard of the 4-th block reactor safety regulations." (document #31 from May, 11th 1986).

STALKER: SHADOW OF CHERNOBYL

Chernobyl zone was lit by an intolerably bright light. The clouds were evaporating in the silver bright sky with a thunder and earthquake to follow. People fell on the ground facedown closing their bleeding eyes and ears. The glow spread over an immense territory which was subsequently called the Zone. People ran away saving their lives.
It looked like a radioactive explosion at the nuclear plant occurred. The army sealed off the Zone... The explosion epicenter was a kilometre away from the nuclear plant. Obviously, some tests had been held there and they caused the disaster.
Presumably, the entire personnel died within seconds, but still there was a probability of survivals among the staff. It appeared impossible to arrange a rescue operation, as the Zone was characterized by strange energy disturbances posing mortal danger to the explorers. Attempts to use robots were unavailing. Several months after the accident the crisis situation peaked when the Zone abruptly grew five kilometres bigger.
People from nearby towns and villages were urgently evacuated, and the peril of a difficult-to-imagine scope loomed over the world.

Year 2008

The Zone exploded, radioactive clouds covered vast territories. A dreadful amount of people, animals and forests perished. Thirty kilometres of the area got cordoned off by the army, scientists failed to explain what had happened.
The Zone grew, various death-bearing anomalies were spotted inside. Some invisible force tore living beings apart, inflicted awful blood-sputtering wounds. Expeditions faced mutant animals, unlikely to have appeared in the Zone through natural course of evolution. The catastrophe, mutants, anomalies, contamination? Everything appeared to be a consequence of some eerie phenomenon?

Year 2010

First expeditions can enter the Zone several kilometers deep without mortal danger. Amateur researchers, marauders and poachers, called stalkers, show up. They move around the Zone searching for various anomalous formations, i.e. artifacts, they would sell to various organizations.

STALKER: CALL OF PRIPYAT

The events of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat unfold shortly after the end of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. Having discovered about the open path to the Zone center, the government decides to hold a large-scale military "Fairway" operation aimed to take the CNPP under control.
According to the operation's plan, the first military group is to conduct an air scouting of the territory to map out the detailed layouts of anomalous fields location. Thereafter, making use of the maps, the main military forces are to be dispatched.
Despite thorough preparations, the operation fails. Most of the avant-garde helicopters crash. In order to collect information on reasons behind the operation failure, Ukraine's Security Service send their agent into the Zone center.

STALKER: CLEAR SKY

Description

Year 2011. Five years passed since the Second Disaster, which eclipsed the events of April 1986. The Zone is shaken by frequent and powerful blowouts, which move anomaly fields, opening new routes to previously inaccessible locations. Stalker factions fight for the new territories and key points. A lot of stalkers die, but newbies keep on arriving.
The action takes place one year prior to the events of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, one year before Strelok's most successful trip to the center of the Zone – the third one. We will learn about Strelok and his squad from another character's vantage point.
The Zone is waiting for you ahead, new locations and unknown threats, spatial holes and monsters hiding in the fog, pitch-black nights and saving rays of a rising sun. Try to avoid anomalies and hide from blowouts, discover the Zone and collect artifacts, cure radioactive irradiation and fight for any stalker faction you like! Only then you will uncover the truth about Strelok and how he happened to get inside the death track and receive the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. tattoo on his arm.

The world

As a player, you are free to explore the entire world of the Zone. No physical restrictions. No time limits. You will become a Stalker — a cross between a mercenary and a treasure hunter, who is also seen as a plunderer, a scavenger, a loner, and as food. Your task is to locate and retrieve artifacts from anywhere within the Zone.
It's a bit like picking red-hot embers out of an infernal oven. And that's the easy part.
Artifacts could be of various types, but are not found so easily. They will be invisible until a special detector shows their location and lights them with an impulse. More advanced detectors can display more rare and valuable artifacts.
Having artifacts already in your back pack, you will need to sell them to one of the traders or to some fellow stalker, with enough money, of course. Traders can easily be found in the factions’ camps, where you will be also able to repair your weapons and equipment, learn some fresh rumors, get a few drinks from a barman, or even play one of the stalker games, such as arena fighting or crow shooting.
Buying and selling can be done both with cash or barter, so if a trader or some friendly stalker has some interesting stuff for you, like weapons, equipment, ammo, food, or med-kits, you are free to barter them for the items in your backpack.
Performing some deeds, opposing other stalkers, or joining stalker factions, you will form opinions of others about you. All of your actions affect the world around you and its relations with you. Active participation in the faction war can change the balance of forces, expand the range of goods of traders and even help mechanics find out new secrets to upgrading weapons and suits.
The Zone itself is also changing all the time, because of more frequent blowouts. Anomalies grow, appear, and disappear, stalkers and monsters fight, migrate, and rest, day changes into night, and sunny weather might suddenly change to rain with thunderstorm and lightning.
The longer you survive, the more you learn about the ways of the Zone, its locations, behavior of monsters and properties of anomalies. You develop your skills and improve your reputation in stalkers' rating, where nearly every artifact hunter can show up. In order to stay in this rating you need, first of all, to survive fighting all the threats waiting for you in the Zone.

Gameplay

Freedom of action and movement

The key game motif is great freedom of choice of how to play. You are entrusted an entire world — a huge territory populated by various creatures, impacted by unknown and bizarre laws, bearing glory or richness or death.
On top of that, you are given a minimal set of equipment and the story intrigue, an unknown world and complete freedom of action inside it. The dangers in the Zone are not only deadly anomalies and terrifying monsters, but, first of all, humans. Which do you choose — fighting for one of the existing stalker factions, or opposing everyone, or changing temporary allies?
Freedom inside the game world is a basis of this game, the game where it is impossible to play twice the same.

A-life

What makes the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. world alive? It is the system of life simulation (otherwise known as A-Life) — a groundbreaking AI system of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., which is responsible for controlling all of the game characters and events in the Zone.
Over 1000 stalkers go about accomplishing their tasks, exploring the Zone, combating, taking rest, eating – they truly live in the Zone. Monsters get together in packs to attack stalker camps and fight with each other. On the global level, the AI controls even the faction wars.
Creating background events? Generating an unlimited number of secondary tasks and random quests?
The A-Life takes care of it all. Owing to the efficiency of our innovative A-Life system your playthrough of the game will not only be new every time, but also completely different from other players'.

Faction wars

The in-game Zone has been shaken by furious war of factions for the new territories, resources, and control points of the important paths to the center of the Zone. You can affect the balance of forces by joining one of the existing stalker factions or just giving some assistance to it.
As a result, the power of a faction will change in many aspects including expanding the range of goods of traders, obtaining new possible upgrades of weapons and protective suits by mechanics etc.
Interacting with other characters in the Zone you can affect their attitude towards you. Positive attitude is a guaranty of possibility to join the faction. You can take the side of Duty, Freedom factions, neutral stalkers, or even bandits.

Day & night cycles in real time

As you learn to live and survive in the Zone, time flows. Day changes into night, and bright sunny weather is ousted by stormy skies.
As never before, the time of the day in the game impacts your gameplay – while you and all the other stalkers see worse at night, most of the monsters can see perfectly well; beware of monsters preferring to sit underground at day, but crawl outside at night; fighting enemies you can use their head flashlights as targets.
Do not forget about the night threats. If you are not confident in your abilities, it is always better to sit near the campfire listening to stories, old jokes, or stalker songs.

Equipment & weapons

Travels into the Zone go hand in hand with great danger. This is why we couldn't send you into this survival school without the proper equipment.
We have prepared a whole set of protective suits, detectors, stalker-friendly foodstuffs, medkits, bandages, means of radiation protection, and other survival stuff.
You can acquire a selection of weapons in the Zone, ranging from knives, pistols, and rifles to grenade launchers. We adjusted all the weapons for you, so be sure they will shoot very realistically, with the right power and trajectory, but they could also deteriorate and misfire. If you want, get your gun improved with upgrades: silencer, barrel-attached grenade launcher, sniper scope – ask at the dealer's closest to you.
Mechanics could also upgrade your gun in rate of fire, power, accuracy and many other aspects, so there are many ways of obtaining a unique gun. Mechanics could be found in stalker factions’ camps. Every mechanic is good at some specific aspect, one could be a guru in armor, other in sniper rifles or heavy weapons.
